In a photo post on his personal X page, Onanuga wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return home today.”

His post comes days after outrage and condemnation by several political leaders over the president’s absence.

Opposition leaders including a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for Labour Party had expressed displeasure over President Tinubu’s stay in Paris, France.

According to the duo, the president ought not to stay away from the country, especially considering the gravity of killings that have happened in states like Plateau and Benue in the past week.

Having called for Tinubu’s return, the presidency had in a response said that the president was working remotely and was up to speed with the happening around the country.

Since assuming office, many public affairs analysts have described Tinubu as junketing president because of his frequent travels outside the country.
