Protests Rock Rivers State as PDP Supporters Insist that No LGA Election Shall hold

The Rivers State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and supporters stormed the city of Port Harcourt for a massive protest, stating that there shall be no local government election in the state on the 5th of October, 2024.

The protest was led by the Rivers State PDP chairman, Hon Chukwuemeka Aaron, along with the immediate past state party chairman and stakeholders of the party. They were aggrieved and stormed the state capital, Port Harcourt, with their massive supporters, insisting that the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, must obey court orders.

During the protest, Hon Aaron addressed the press and stated clearly that the Rivers State PDP supporters say no to the forthcoming local government election scheduled for Saturday, 5th October 2024.

He further emphasized that the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, must obey the rule of law by complying with the court injunction to stop the local government election scheduled for Saturday, 5th October 2024.

The PDP supporters came out in large numbers to insist that there should be no election in the state.
