The Abuja Tribunal Judgement has favoured Hope Uzodinma and upheld his election Victory as Governor of Imo state Nigeria as 9News Nigeria reports.
Several reactions have continued to dominate the media space in appreciation of the election petition tribunal for such a clear judgement while few other person are still talking against the election victory.
On this therefore, Governor Hope Uzodinma has restated his readiness and zeal to continue rendering his best services to improve Imo state and give the best governance in his time and season as their Governor.
The Governor made this declaration at the Tribunal judgement that upheld his governorship election victory in Abuja on Friday.
9News Nigeria reports that the judgment by the tribunal has reinforced Governor Uzodinma’s overwhelming victory in the last governorship election.
The victory has also reflected his broad popularity and the confidence reposed in him by the people of Imo State.
The Imo APC have stated that Uzodinma’s winning in all the 27 Local Government Areas of the state was not by chance but a testament to his accountability and dedication to serving the people, transcending party and religious affiliations.
Following the judgement thereof, the Imo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal struck out petitions filed by the duo of the Labour Party’s Candidate Sen. Athan Achonu and Sen. Samuel Anyanwu of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and upheld the victory of the Governor Uzodinma.
The Governor expressed delight over the ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal that affirmed his victory. He noted that the judgement was an unequivocal affirmation of the popular mandate given to him by Imo people.
Governor Uzodinma noted that his victory was divine and a true reflection of the choice of the majority of Imo people. He Commended the Tribunal for their thoroughness and lucidity in delivering the judgement.
The Governor however commended his opponents for approaching the Tribunal to ventilate their grievances and emphasized that it is a clear demonstration of their belief in the principles of democracy and the imperative of civility in the conduct of political actors.
Governor Uzodinma however called on his political opponents to join hands with him to move Imo State forward now that all petitions against him is relaxed.
Speaking with Imo APC chairman, Dr macdonald Ebere, described Governor Uzodinma’s victory as great while dedicating the triumphant moment to the good and resourceful people of Imo State, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in achieving this success.
