The House of Representatives has dissolved all its Ad-Hoc Committees with immediate effect.
The directive was contained in a memo issued to all members of the House.
According to the memo, the affected committees failed to submit their reports despite the expiration of the deadlines given to them.
The House said the dissolution followed the non-submission of reports by the committees.
It added that two committees which were granted a two-week extension also failed to submit their reports within the additional period.
The Clerk reminded lawmakers that Ad-Hoc Committees are temporary and time-bound.
He said the committees are required to submit their reports within the period allotted to them under Order 18, Rule 11 of the House Standing Orders.
Chairmen of the affected committees have consequently been directed to submit all outstanding reports, working documents and records to the Office of the Clerk for safekeeping.
The memo urged all members to take note of the directive and ensure strict compliance.
