Rivers State Governorship Candidate of National Rescue Movement NRM, Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich has raised the alarm of an alleged plot by the state government to seal the State NRM PARTY SECRETARIAT despite ongoing proceedings at the court.
Sobomabo, who confirmed this information via phone conversation with 9News Nigeria Correspondent, said he got wind of the sinister move from a reliable source that the Rivers State Government is planning to seal off the secretariat building in the early hours of Friday 9th December 2022.
He accused the state government of hatching such a plan despite an ongoing court case filed by the National Rescue Movement against a discontinuance notice given to the party on the 24th of November 2022 by the Rivers State Government.
He maintained that the plot further shows that the Nyesom Wike-led state government is afraid of the rising capacity and strength of the NRM in Rivers State and the imminent defeat the PDP stands to suffer in the 2023 general election, hence the efforts to frustrate the party.
