Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, failed to score in their 2-0 win over Espanyol on Sunday.
His form is now a source of concern for the Spanish champions, as it was the third successive game he has drawn a blank – his worst start ever to the domestic season.
Ronaldo missed the first fixtures of the campaign, after a four-game ban for a red card against Barcelona in the Super Copa.
But after a goalless return in the home defeat to Real Betis, further frustration has come against Alaves and now Espanyol last weekend, meaning a collective 270 minutes has passed without a goal to start his La Liga season.
That’s the longest streak in his career with Los Blancos as he enters his ninth campaign at the Bernabeu, topping the 255 minutes he took in 2010.
