Over the weekend, the Rotary Club of Nigeria, Obowo Chapter,honoured the Speaker Imo State House Assembly, Rt Hon. Barr Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, with a Legislative Capacity Development Award.
The honour was done on him in recognition of his unquantifiable achievement as Speaker and member, representing Obowo State Constituency.
The event took place on Sunday, at Obiri Obowo during the installation of a new President of the Club, Rotn.Hon. Vitalis Ebekunwanne (PHF) and celebration of the outgoing .
Speaking at the occasion, the Speaker expressed appreciation for being found worthy to be honoured for using his position to uplift the welfare of the people, particularly Obowoans.
While congratulating the new President of the Rotary Club on his new responsibility, he thanked the out- going for a meritorious service.
The Rt Hon Speaker who announced his membership of the Club, promised to support the group in ensuring that it remains the touch bearer and in transformation of various parts of Obowo positively.
The event was graced by friends, members and well wishers of Rotary Club from far and near.
