Mr Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for Labour and Employment took to Twitter on Thursday morning to announce the death of his driver, Yohanna Shankuk.
Mr Keyamo who is the Nigeria Minister of State for Labour and Employment in another tweet, the same day, said that he regret announcing the death of his driver on his tweeter handle.
“I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger roundabout, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office, He announced”.
In response to his tweet, a Tweeter user said; “You are trying to incite violence against the peaceful protesters, go and watch “Sometimes in April” Your driver died bcos of accident not protest, without the protest people die in Nigeria through accidents, you trying to pin his death on peaceful protesters is a shame on YOU”.
It is regrettably on record that over 15 persons have been announced dead since the protest began.
