Sanwo-Olu constructs high speed metro railway in Lagos [Photos]

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today, inspected the progress of work at 37 Kilometers Agbado to Oyingbo high speed train railway .

The railway which will traverse eight stations is for the newly acquired Talgo Intra-City Ten Coach metropolitan trains, for the Red Line Metro project.

These new trains which were originally intended to connect Madison and Milwaukee in the United States, are now heading to Lagos State, Nigeria Lagos State Governor reveals.

Speaking at the railway construction site Governor Sanwo-Olu said:
“We have completed the deal for the acquisition of the trains and we are ramping up the completion of the ancillary infrastructure like the train stations”.

“We are irrevocably committed to completing the Red Line Metro rail project by the end of this year and bring a new lease of life to public transportation in Lagos”.
