The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR has congratulated the Head coach Equavon- led Super Eagles of Nigeria for their consecutive winning in their group qualifying matches played so far in the African Cup of Nation AFCON.
In a press release sent across the Super Eagles team and made available to 9News Nigeria, Mr President sends his congratulations to Nigerian Super Eagles on winning all their three games and advancing to the second round of the AFCON in grand style.
Buhari urge them to maintain and even surpass the terrific form that has made them leaders in the group stage, and to remain good ambassadors of Nigeria on and off the field.
He opened up to the team and told them that the entire country looks forward with hope to a total of SEVEN emphatic wins in this competition. Three down, four to go!
He however assured them of his unflinching support as they soar like the Eagles that they are to write yet another brilliant chapter in the unfolding story of Nigerian football.
