Security agents in South Florida raided the home of Jamaican-American rapper, Kisean Paul Anderson, known professionally as Sean Kingston and arrested his mother on Thursday morning in connection to allegations that he defrauded a tech company out of thousands of dollars in a deal over a massive television and speaker system.
Kingston’s mother, Janice Turner, was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges.
It was obtained that Ver Ver Entertainment is accusing Kingston of using his celebrity status to scam companies.
According to the lawsuit, the rapper partially paid for a 232-inch television and entertainment system but, following the installation, never paid for the product in full.
The typical price of the massive television alone starts at over $91,000, with the speaker system and assembly tacking on another $20,000 bill.
In order to lower the price of the $111,000 purchase, Kingston supposedly promised to make promotional videos about the products with his friend, Justin Beiber.
Sean Kingston is a Jamaican-American rapper and singer. He is best known for the billboard topping chart song, ‘Beautiful Girls’.
