Buhari and Central African Republic leader

Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari,yesterday reaffirmed his commitment in securing Nigeria and her people.

The President, according to a statement issued by his Media and Publicity aide, Femi Adesina,and was obtained by 9News Nigeria, made the call when he received his Central African Republic (CAR) counterpart, Prof. Faustin-Archange Touadera, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The President said that, his top most priority is the well being and securing of Nigerians.According to the President a lake chad summit is to be held in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria.In the summit, security in Chad and it implications on neighbouring countries will be discuss.

“The recharge of Lake Chad with water from Congo Basin is another issue as it holds great implications for security since about 30 million people are affected.”

Prof. Faustin-Archange Touadera,commiserated with President and Nigerians over the plane crash that killed the Nigerian chief of Army Staff,Lt.Gen.Attahiru Ibrahim and 10 others.
