Security operatives on Friday carried out a successful counter insurgency operation in Kangiwa Village, Kebhi State, leading to the neutralisation of a large number of suspected armed bandits.
According to security sources, the operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal hideouts and restore peace and stability across communities affected by banditry in the state.
The coordinated operation reportedly involved intelligence-driven tactics and resulted in significant losses for the criminal elements terrorising residents in the area.
Security personnel are said to have maintained control of the area while continuing clearance operations to prevent any grouping by fleeing suspects.
