He explained that it is God who gives leadership and can as well take it back on his will.

He however noted that he will not take any legal action and has surrendered it to God.

He added that Nigeria is facing food insecurity among other crisis.
‘Nigeria is among the top countries that are having food insecurity, with about 38 million people directly affected, that is in addition of Boko Haram insecurity, banditry, kidnapping and separates movement in the Southeast,’ he said.
Ndume also narrated how he became the Senate cheif whip, noting that he never contested for it, rather it was offered to him in recognition of the role he played in supporting and ensuring that Sen. Akpabio, became the president of the Senate.
On his position in the All Progressive Congress, APC, the senator said that he is still a member of the party and will remain so.
‘I was part of the 22 senators that joined to form APC from the beginning. I was ordered to join the party by former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Ahmad Tinubu at Imo State lodge in Abuja,’ he said
On the rumor of his nomination to head the Senate committee on tourism, Sen. Ndume said he has not yet receive any formal or written document on that regards.
However, the senator announced that he is declining to receive the chairmanship of the said committee, noting that it is on personal reasons.
‘I don’t have experience on tourism, I am not someone that travels, I have never been to places like China, India, France, Germany and others, except for America where I schooled and United Kingdom which I used to visit, even that was about ten years ago,’ he said.
Ndume also called on his supporters and well wishers to remain calm and law abiding citizens during this period.
He added that the people most help the government in any possible way to salvage the country.
