Senator Emmanuel Udende Sue For Peace, Promises Infrastructure Development

Benue North East Senator, Emmanuel Memga Udende, has made a heartfelt appeal to the youth responsible for the recent killings in Sankera, urging them to lay down their arms and give peace a chance.

This call to action is motivated by a deep sense of humanity, compassion, and a commitment to the well-being of the community.

The Senator represented by his amiable wife, Mrs Mchivir Udende reiterated his condemnation of the senseless killings, criminality, and banditry that have plagued the region. Instead, he envisions a brighter future, where peace and stability pave the way for sustainable development and growth.

During a prayer session organized by the Ucha Development Association (UDA) in Afia, Senator Udende expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing infrastructure projects in the area, including the extension of electricity from Zaki-Biam to Gbagir, Afia, and Gbeji, as well as the construction of a bridge over River Afia. He reassured the community of his commitment to attracting more development projects to the region.

Other dignitaries, including Engr. Ezra Nyiyongo Member representing Ukum State Constituency who spoke through Geoffrey Orban Jam, traditional leaders such as the Ter-Ukum and District Heads of Tsaav and Lumbur, echoed Senator Udende’s call for peace, emphasizing the need for social and economic activities to flourish in the region.
