Shehu Sani Criticizes Selective Outrage Over Political Appointments

Former Senator Shehu Sani has called out individuals who remained silent during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari but have now become vocal critics of political appointments under the current government.

In a statement made on Sunday, 29 December 2024, Sani accused such individuals of hypocrisy, insisting that they failed to speak up when Buhari allegedly favored his kinsmen in the allocation of political offices.

“There were people who were silent when Buhari was fielding political offices with his kinsmen, and have now found their voice to speak out when the equation doesn’t favour them,” Sani said.

The former senator also addressed the marginalization of Southern Kaduna under the Buhari administration, describing Kaduna State during that period as “an apartheid state for eight years.”
