Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu

Just few days ago, a prominent Igbo leader and President General PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo was pronounced dead by his immediate family members after passing through a partial stroke and few other health debilities.

It is no longer rumour that an entrepreneur expert and senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has also passed on.

Nigerian Senator from Anambra South, and an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is confirmed dead by our correspondents.

The news of his demise came as a rude shock to every Nigerian who has established contact directly or indirectly with this great son of Igbo extraction from Anambra state.

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah reportedly died as a result of cardiac arrest in his mansion in London.

Ubah was a Nigerian Politician, entrepreneur, and businessman who until his death served as the CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), which he founded in 2001.

The deceased was married to Uchenna, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, with whom he had 5 children. He also ran a foundation which is named after himself; Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.

9News reports that Ubah’s bulletproof car saved him in September 2022, when he escaped assassination at an attack by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State. His convoy was shot at and at least 5 persons, including two policemen, were killed.

However, Chief Iwuanyanwu died on Thursday 25th after a brief illness at 82 years old. Engineer Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu was the PG of Ohanaeze Ndigbo before his death.

He hails from Ikeduru Imo State while Senator Ifeanyi Ubah hails from Anambra South. Both were dedicated South East Igbo political bigwigs.
