Skills acquisition beneficiaries seek Mrs Ugwuanyi’s assistance

Trainees under Surehope Empowerment Scheme, a pet project of Mrs Roseline Nwabundo Edeoga, wife of Isi-Uzo LGA transition committee chairman, have called on Enugu State First Lady, Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi to assist them to start off their trades after their ongoing training.
The trainees made the call recently during annual delegates church meeting in Ikem, headquarters of Isi-Uzo LGA. The beneficiaries, in an address by Grace Nnaji, sought assistance of Mrs Ugwuanyi in providing them start-off tools. It was gathered that the beneficiaries were selected from all the council wards when Mrs Edeoga embarked on campaign against drug abuse and teenage pregnancy.
The transition committee Chairman of Isi-Uzo LGA, Hon Benjamin Edeoga, thanked Mrs Ugwuanyi for gracing the event. He said: “It is the first time that a joint August meeting of all churches in this area is held. Mrs Monica Ugwuanyi has also made it possible for men to get involved in the meeting. This will be sustained to ensure a sound synergy which will in turn enthrone good development.”
The commissioner for Local Government matters, Hon Chijioke Edeoga, commended governor Ugwuanyi for identifying with Isi-Uzo LGA always. In his words, “We urge women in our zone to champion peace.
