The technology and digital industry in Borno State is witnessing an giant step on it’s developmental stride.
This is due to many digital actors and stakeholders’ engagements to boost the industry in the state.
One of the major actors, Maxzeeton Technology has taken a mega step in that direction.
Maxzeeton is a giant tech company in Borno State with several years of experience. It company has been engaged in several tech and digital activities like training, mentorship and software development.
Over the years, Maxzeeton has trained hundreds of people in digital skills in Borno, with beneficiaries coming from highschool and university students, tech enthusiast and practitioners and officials from the formal and informal sectors.
In February this year, the company has signed Memorandum of Understanding with three important stakeholders in Borno.
Parts of the agreements is for training and mentoring of people in digital skills through a fellowship programs.
Led by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Usman Abdullahi on Tuesday February 24, Maxzeeton was at Center for Advocacy, Transparency, and Accountability Initiative (CATAI) to sign one of the MoUs.

According to the document, the purpose of the MOU is to establish a framework for collaboration between the two parties for the implementation of the SheCode Data Analytics Fellowship.
The fellowship is a six month digital skills and capacity building training program for graduates in Borno.
The targeted beneficiaries are 100 female university and polytechnics graduates, resident in Maiduguri. However, this number is for the initial cohort.
The aim of the program is to address unemployment among female graduates and promote gender inclusion in technology and data driven careers among other things.
While CATAI shall povide technical advisory support on transparency, accountability, and governance-focused data applications as well as financial and other assistance, Maxzeeton will design, organize, and coordinate the fellowship, including logistics, venue, facilitators, and training materials.
The tech firm is also responsible for recruitment of participants, mentors, and industry professionals for the project.
Maxzeeton has entered into a similar agreement with Borno State Information and Community Technology Development Agency (BICTDA).

The two parties will implement a Data Analytics & Artficial Intelligence Fellowship in Borno.
Although subject to renewal, this training will also run for six months duration with 100 youths participants selected within Maiduguri.
The objectives of this partnership according to the MoU, is to address the rate of unemployment among youths and to encourage collaboration and innovation among young professionals.
It also aims to support the youths in acquiring globally recognized CompTIA certifications and to enhance the participants’ access to international career and remote work opportunities.
Maxzeeton has also ensured the signing of another partnership with Kashim Ibrahim University, (KIU) formerly Borno State University, Maiduguri.

The MOU is set to formalize collaboration between Maxzeeton and KIU.
Also, the MoU indicated that Maxzeeton will allocate ten fellowship slots for the university under the Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Fellowship Program.
The slots is specifically for transitioning KIU students, including final year students and recent graduates, not more than one year after graduation.
The initiative it says, is designed to support students transitioning from academic study into employment, entrepreneurship, or advanced digital careers.
It also seeks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry requirements, as well as to enhance employability and job readiness prior to graduation.
KIU shall nominate the eligible candidates from computer/technology related fields and ensure their commitment and readiness for intensive training among other objectives.
Priority may be given to students from science, technology, engineering, business, and related disciplines.
With these partnerships, Maxzeeton has set the pace for an accelerated growth and development of the technology and digital industry in Borno and beyond.
