The Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON).
They sealed the qualification, after an emphatic 6-0 victory over Gambia in their second leg clash, at the Agege Stadium on Monday.
Desire Oparanozie scored four times, while Asisat Oshoala netted a brace for the eight-time African champions.
The 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations will be hosted in Ghana from November 17 to December 1.
The tournament also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The top three teams will qualify for the World Cup in France.
Nigeria are the defending champions.
