The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved Judgement in the appeal filed by the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, David Ombugadu against the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule of All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ombugadu appeal against Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), APC and Sule Audu Alhaji.

The case followed the verdict of the Appeal Court which set aside the verdict of the Tribunal and affirmed the victory of Governor Sule in 2023 Gubernatorial election in the state.

Ombugadu a former two-term Member of the House of Representatives argued that the Appellate Court erred by reversing the decision of the Tribunal which declared him as winner of the election.

However, a five -member panel of Supreme Court headed by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Edun reserved the judgement on the appeal after all parties in the suit adopted their briefs of arguments.

The Apex Court said the date for the judgement on the matter will communicated to both parties.
