The stakeholders of the Anambra PDP have come to expose the systematic destruction plot by some members of the newly elected National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party. This same plot by these duo has been on the pathway of destroying what’s left of the soul of the PDP in Anambra, Ebonyi and Imo states respectively.

The party stakeholders chiefly have named the National secretary and the National Organizing Secretary of the party, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu and Alhaji Umar Bature as the main actors in these plots in conjunction with Chief Christian Uba who is an aspirant on the party’s platform for the 2023 senatorial elections alongside a returnee senatorial aspirant Sen Stella Oduah.

The person of Chief Christian Uba has been a recurring decimal in the electoral disappointments of the party in the state over the years. The party has suffered avoidable defeats and a lack of cohesion because of the actions of Chief Christian Uba and his counterparts who believe in money politics.

Chief Christian Uba and his counterparts, mainly Senator Stella Oduah with the National Secretary and National Organizing Secretary of the PDP have been working assiduously to rubbish the good works done by Governor Seyi A Makinde of Oyo State, who did everything in his capacity to help rebuild the party via the rightful conduction of congresses across the state.

The party stakeholders in Anambra State opined that if a travesty of justice is allowed to hold ground, it will weaken the party’s chances in the 2023 general elections and ultimately destroy the party in the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra State has been out of power for over 10 years and it is worrisome to the stakeholders that they cannot continue to allow political merchants and mercenaries to continue to have their way in the destruction of the party’s structures and grassroots base in the state for pecuniary gains of a select few.

In its final stand, the party’s stakeholders wish to draw the attention of the National Chairman of the party to these happenings and impress upon it to act to save the soul of the party in the state and also restore the confidence of its members across the state in its transparency and willingness to restore the party to its rightful position as the largest political party in West Africa and indeed in the South-East geo-political region.
