The Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, welcomed her new State Commandant today in Jalingo, Taraba State.

The outgoing Commandant, Musa Ndanusa Aliyu who is now the Assistant Commandant General expressed gratitude to men and officers of the command in an indoor handover ceremony at the headquarters of the state command, noting that their support and cooperation was key to the success he recorded while in charge of the command.
The ACG described the high level of patriotism and galantry display of men and officers to their tasks as exceptional and asked them to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties. He further urged them to fully cooperate with the new Commandant as was in his case.
He applauded the efforts of the Commandant General of the NSCDC for showing top priority on the welfare of officers and men of the Corps.
“The recent promotions have proven beyond doubt that the Commandant General of our agency is concerned about the welfare of officers”
“The projects we have completed which includes; a water system toilet; an overhead Tank with a capacity enough to accommodate 4000 litres of water and a gigantic administrative block which is still under construction are all proceeds from the positive results we got from our Commandant General” he added.
Aliyu emphasized the need for the administrative block which is under construction be completed, urging his successor to do so.
“The Administrative block if completed will solve the challenge of office accomodation this command has experienced and this will be the first of its kind in the state” he stated.
The Commandant, Muhammed Usman Waksha who expressed satisfaction with the reception commended his predecessor saying, “The men and officers of the NSCDC_ Taraba State command are in good order, this I believe has been possible because of your good leadership style.
“I commend you for the measures you have put in place in ensuring the oprationalisation of the Command is smooth and I’m assuring you that, they will be utilized”.
He, further pledged to continue with the ongoing work on the administrative block and emphasized that he knows the significance of the project to the command.
He however, stressed on the need for security agencies to collaboratively work together to ensure the utmost aim of defeating crime is achieved, saying the NCSDC, Taraba State command under his command is open for inter-agency cooperation which he said will lead to improve synergy among the security agencies.
“If banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery, terrorism and all forms of crime is to be defeated in Taraba State, we all must be on alacrity and committed to duties, he submitted”.
