Renowned human rights activist and Director, Kenya School of Law, Prof. Patrick Lumumba, has reveled that the British never faced justice for what they did to Africans.
In a trending video on social media, Lumumba said that one of the most painful things he ever heard in his life came from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair where the Briton referred to Africa as a scar on the conscience of the world.
“The British have never faced justice. That is why they still run around the world pretending to tell us what to do.” He said.
According to him, it only when Africans question the British for their atrocities, that the latter would understand the anger for such evils committed.
“It is because we have never asked them to answer for their atrocities. The day they do, they will know that we are truly angry. They have never.
“And that is why some of us are very serious about the whole idea of reparations and a proper apology. They have never apologized”. He noted.
Prof. Lumumba has been very vocal about the need for Pan-Africanism, delivering speeches alluding to or about African solutions to African problems across Africa.
In June 2023, Lumumba spoke at a lecture organised by the GOTNI Leadership Centre in Abuja, Nigeria, where he urged African leaders to be responsible team players.
