– the Choir, in 1972 with its first meeting held at the residence of then Church Chairman/General Leader, Late Special Apostle Prophet (Dr) G. O. Fakeye of blessed memory. During the formative years, Prophetess Fadahunsi often had to combine songs calling and singing, which was done with cheerfulness to inspire the Church spiritually, whilst S.F Korode, J.T Babajide, Late Oni, Francis Adedeji, Late Oyemakinde and Elijah were on the drums.
The first set of officers was appointed in April 1973 at a Saturday meeting
Senior Special Apostle Prophet (Dr) S. F. Korode as the Choirmaster
Most Senior Apostle Tunde Fakeye as Assistant Choirmaster
Late Senior Apostle Jide Ogungbade as the General Secretary
Special Mother in Israel Prophetess Lara Oyeyemi as Financial Secretary
Late Special Mother in Israel Prophetess G. A. Fakeye as the treasurer
Special Mother in Israel Anu Oyenuga as the Matron
Late Most Senior Apostle Prophet Afolabi as the Patron
Over the years, the need to appoint more officers following the expansion and development pursuits of some individuals arose, hence replacements with new appointments were witnessed. However, the Choirmaster general remained unchanged since he was appointed in 1973 by God’s directive through the then Chairman/General Leader, Late Pro. G. O. Fakeye until his demise and the Choirmaster became the Chairman/General Leader. We have the current Choirmaster General in person of Pro. Adeniyi Adeyemi.
Furthermore, the Choir has been a tremendous force in the Church’s evangelical programme which has elevated the Church today from a sitting-room congregation has to its present state of millions of congregations in about 90 branches across the globe, this is a great testimony. The Choir in its development programs also has an anointed, modern and music literate Youth Choir, Disciples of Christ Ministry Choir, Children Ministry Choir, English service Chapel Choir to the glory of God. The Choir also has a school of Music where members are trained in modern music and use of musical instruments.
From the humble beginnings of basic participation in church activities, the Choir has grown to be an icon in the gospel music industry in Nigeria. Today, most of the lyrics in our albums have become household songs and popular lyrics in churches and amongst popular gospel ministers. The Choir has well over 40 record albums to her credit popular among which is “Lehin Jesu Ko S’enikan” which today we have seen several versions of it being sang as worship, as acapella and so on, another of such is “Take Control” which remains ever green at every time our country is faced with different challenges. There are other powerful songs such as Oke mimo, Almighty God and many more like that, all inspired by the Holy Spirit. Our Music, melody and Message has become a social responsibility to the nation at large.
The achievements of the Last 50 years are attributed to the presence of God with us, and our resolution is to also remain in His presence even as we carry out our spiritual mandate and develop ourselves physically. Hence this year’s theme is tagged “IN HIS PRESENCE”.
Believes that citizens should play by the rules, the conditions are provided by procedures to govern everyone. Peace propagation taking Christ resurrection story as a case study which we’ve been able to replicate thru our gospel songs. Religion organisation which are part of are guiding bodies thru which interaction is made in gearing the peace and unity of Nigeria.

The committee also informed the general public if their partnership with Rogers School of music for members who might be interested in certification programs
They also believes the press should serve as a veritable tool for relaying the right information and not act as a social media platforms which have serve as as a detriment to the sanity of our nation.
They believe parenting should not be overlooked and should betaken seriously as this goes a long way in addressing our youths particularly the ones venturing into gospel music trying to serve as an entertainer and not gospel musicians
