A patriotic young Anambarain/a correspondence of 9news Nigeria has written to Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on the write ways to follow in other to end the every Monday sit at home.

The Young Anambarain, who is by name Comrade. Promise Okongwu advised Sen. Ubah to acquire the support of the church, clergy’s, the Anambra State government, amongst others, so as to achieve his beautiful aim.

Below is his written report on Facebook, please read.

There are things Senator Ifeanyi Ubah should have considered and have to put in place before trying to implement a stop to the Monday “Sit At Home” in Nnewi yesterday.

By Promise Okongwu

First and foremost, against many other  insinuations that was speculated by the locals, the End to “sit at home” in Nnewi and other parts of Anambra State/Southeast is a welcomed development. In fact, this has been my stance from the very first day that this “sit at home” started in our region.

The civil disobedience as we were made to understand has no little impact or relevance in pushing the government of the federal republic of Nigeria to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is more of depriving our economy to grow amidst the heavy economic hardship that is currently affecting our people at the moment.

What this means is that our people are only the two sides of coins receiving ends.

However, despite the following, I think Distinguish  Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah  would have considered the following before going on yesterday’s End sit at home parade:

1. Consider partnering with Gov. Charles Chukwuma Soludo in the movement.

(1b). The letter being circulated by the state government ordering markets not to allow politicians into the markets yesterday is an evidence that there was no proper partnership or communications between both the state government and the senator.

(1C). He should take note that proper partnership between the Governor and himself would assure other elites that are interested in investing in the program that there exist no ulterior motives with the movement and like the popular saying goes, “the more we are together, the bigger we shall achieve”.

2. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah should consider getting the support of the priests, especially that of the Catholic and Anglicans on the dangers of a continued sit at home exercise.

3. He should consider going to various churches and religious gatherings before embarking on another rally next time.

4. Consider having a Town Hall meetings with both indigenes and non indigenes for proper sensitization.

(4b) The truth is that despite the radio outing of Senator Ubah on Saturday before the outing, many of the locals misunderstood his statements because of the sentimental undertones and many did not listen to him directly which sabotaged his main motives and hence, the need for a town hall meetings.

5. Finally, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah must assure our people that security operatives would be strategically placed at various sections of Nnewi, especially in the popular markets area. It is not enough to parade with full armed security details without placing any or enough in strategic/ conspicuous areas in the town.

Thank you and God bless you for your effort.
