Thinklab Group Limited has donated N3 million t Yobe State Government to aid relief efforts for victims of the recent flooding that devastated several communities in the region.

The donation was formally presented to the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) by Dr. Abba Damuna, Project Director of Thinklab Group Limited, as parts of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

The donation was received on behalf of the state government by Dr. Mohammed Jalo, the Director of Operations, YOSEMA.

During the presentation ceremony, Jalo expressed profound gratitude to Thinklab Group Limited for their generous support.

While recounting Thinklab’s support in education to the state, Jalo said the government is already overstretched by the 11,000 household currently affected by flood in the state.

He praised the company for its consistent partnership with the state government, describing the donation as a crucial contribution that would significantly aid in alleviating the suffering of those affected by the floods.

‘Thinklab Group is indeed a valuable stakeholder in Yobe State, and their support comes at a critical time for our communities,’ Jalo stated.

Speaking during the presentation, Damuna said the financial assistance from Thinklab Group Limited underscores the company’s commitment to supporting disaster-stricken communities.

He reiterated the company’s dedication to social responsibility, noting, ‘we hope that our modest contribution will enhance the efforts of the Yobe State Government and other stakeholders in providing relief and rebuilding lives.’

He also commended the relentless efforts of Jalo and his team in managing the crisis.

‘This donation reflects Thinklab Group Limited’s ongoing commitment to community support and humanitarian aid, particularly in times of crisis.

‘The company’s active involvement in disaster response initiatives highlights its role as a key partner in fostering resilience and recovery in Yobe State.

Dr. Jalo also called on other Nigerians, philanthropist, companies and organisations to emulate Thinklab as the state battles to tackle the disaster.
