The Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, has called on those agitating for the Nigeria Division.
He urged those wishing Nigeria to disintegrate to perish their thoughts and predicted that Nigeria as a country would continue to remain a united nation.
Buratai revealed this statement while he was speaking in Kuta, Osun State on Sunday during the 60th Birthday Celebration of Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude.
The event where a lot of dignitaries were in attendance, noted personalities like Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola among others.
Lt General Buratai said you know that Nigeria is one and it will remain one unless you pull out those people who are calling for the break up of this Country. They should all go to the Atlantic Ocean.
We will remain as one Nigeria, and nobody can stop that, who’s ever doesn’t want one Nigeria, should leave Nigeria.
In this event of celebration, we have Hausas, Yorubas, Igbo, and other tribes here too, we should not allow politics to be loud our sense of unity and sovereignty.
Anybody who thinks Nigeria will divide, that person is a dreamer because Nigeria has experienced a bitter one during the civil war, so it’s a joking one for those thinking Nigeria will Divide ” he added “
