Tinubu, a pragmatic, visionary leader, says former Plateau Governor, Joshua Chibi Dariye.
Former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary and pragmatic leader who does not give up easily, no matter how difficult a situation may be.
Senator Dariye, who commended the President for the steps taken so far to revamp the economy, added that it is impossible to complete the turnaround of the ailing economy in one year considering the magnitude of work that needs to be done.
According to him, with the determination of the President and his zeal, the country will soon get out of its economic problems, adding that the President needs the support of all Nigerians, irrespective of their political lineage, to achieve this feat.
“President Tinubu is a pragmatic and visionary leader who does not give up, he is a politician, not a magician, and he is determined to bring the economy back on track.
“The President is not unmindful of the hardship in the country, but he is working and putting policies in place to cushion the hardship and reposition the economy.
“At the moment, there are quite a lot of areas begging for attention, apart from the economy, there are the challenges of insecurity, and all these are being tackled frontally, but it is quite unfortunate that some people are playing politics with all these.
“Some people who lost the election are sponsoring it, their belief is that If they are not there, let things be destroyed. I think that is an unfortunate thing about Nigerians, we are not patriotic as Americans to advance democracy. When some people lose out, their next line of thinking is to pull down the government in power. People are terrible in their thinking.
He called for self-examination and tasked Nigerians to purge themselves of their shortcomings, adding that everyone must come together to get things working and be more patriotic to move the Country forward.
“All of us are stakeholders, we should partner with Mr President in revamping the economy, all those areas that need urgent attention also require our collaboration. However, one year is so short, but so far, so good, it is commendable”.
The former Governor, who said the Country needs State Police considering the insecurity in the country, enjoined both the State and National Assemblies to embrace it to mitigate the security challenges facing the country.
