Nigeria’s Ambassador to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no criminal record.
Speaking during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye of Channels TV on Sunday, Omokri said FBI records are routinely created for individuals who undergo certain processes involving U.S. authorities, including biometric procedures.
“President Tinubu has no criminal record. These are FBI records which everybody has. I have FBI records, you have FBI records,” Omokri said.
He further argued that the records maintained by U.S. authorities can contain personal and biometric information obtained during processes such as visa applications.
According to Omokri, when individuals appear at a U.S. embassy for biometric collection, the information is transmitted to the relevant American authorities.
“President Tinubu doesn’t want to release FBI records because the FBI records contain your DNA, blood group and fingerprints. When you go to the U.S. embassy and take your biometrics, it goes directly to the FBI,” he said.
