The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has predicted a resounding second-term victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.
The Minister also said that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State “will fall” at the next poll.
Keyamo spoke in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State at a reception held for Great Ogboru, who rejoined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, after defection to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, where he was the 2023 governorship candidate.
Keyamo described Ogboru as “a great leader with massive generosity support”
He commended what he tagged as Ogboru’s ‘organic leadership” stressing that “he (Ogboru) has been able to sustain his sprawling political base for ages, even without federal power”
Keyamo declared, “PDP will fall in Delta next political dispensation. The President has won 2927 already.
“Here in Delta State, we lost 2023 simply because many stakeholders left APC in anger.
“But presently, we look forward to the future with much more certainty because the Olorogun Otega Emerhor-led reconciliation committee, together with college of leaders, have worked very well in restoring unity to Delta APC”.
Keyamo urged APC stakeholders in Delta State to further support the college of leaders in efforts to guarantee more progress in the party.
Keyamo added; “APC belongs to all of us. It is not a one-man party. No sole leadership in the Delta APC.
“We have collective leadership. And we have already got the presidential mandate to further reconcile the party in Delta.
Ogboru expressed delight at his return to the APC.
“I only want to say that this house was built by us all. We are now building the house, even much stronger, bigger and better. When we are united, divine blessing will come.
“APC will take over Delta to change the life of the people for better. After all, a better life and good future are the hallmarks of democracy. Thank you, Mr. President. On your mandate we stand”, Ogboru said.
In attendance at the event were party leaders, including Delta APC Chairman Chief Omeni Sobotie, Chief Ortega Omerhor, Hon. Francis Waive, representing Ughelli North, South and Udu Federal Constituency, former APC Women Leader, Hon. Mrs Stella Okotete, as well as representatives of Senator Ede Dafinone, ex Governor James Ibori and Godsday Orubebr, among others.
