A Police Officer, Dogara Akolo-Moses, attached to Mada Station of Nasarawa Command of the Nigerian Police Force, has tragically taken his own life while on duty in Nasarawa-Eggon Local Government Area.
According to reports, the officer was performing his regular responsibilities when he unexpectedly entered a private room and discharged his firearm.
Upon hearing the gunshots, his colleagues hurried to the location and discovered him lying in a pool of blood, with his service weapon positioned nearby.
At the moment the motive behind his actions remain unclear.
The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ramhan Nansel, has confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this tragic and unfortunate event.
