Islamic scholar Murtala Chukwuemeka who successfully translated the Quran into Igbo language said he took the initiative as part of the efforts to make the Holy Book accessible and easily understood by Kinsmen and women.
Sheikh Chukwuemeka disclosed this to BBC Hausa service.
He explained that the initiative which took him 4- years was his own contribution to Da’awah (Propagation of Islam) in Igbo speaking part of Nigeria.
