U.S President-elect Donald Trump vows to end birthright citizenship, a move that would strip right from individuals born in the U.S to undocumented parents. Despite the protection being enshrined in the Constitution, Trump claims it’s essential to oversee mass deportation of illegal immigrants.

In an interview, Trump reiterated his campaign pledge, stating that the programme will begin with undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach an immediate settlement to end the war in Ukraine, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The move also raised concerns about the potential impact on individuals who were brought into the Country illegally as children and have been shielded from deportation in recent years. Trump has indicated that he might seek a solution with Congress to address this issue.
