Government of Imo State has dissolved all leadership in the rural communities by approving the appointment of PRESIDENT GENERALs to be in charge of community leadership pending when directives will come for elections if need be.
This information is contained in various tabloids to insure that government protocols are obeyed.
Information revealed to pressmen was that the proposed Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community election was cancelled by the the order of Imo state government to allow the appointed PRESIDENT GENERALs work.
This therefore has called to order the contestants in Umuoma Nekede to obey the government law and not to take laws into their hands.
Recall that the election was meant to hold today Saturday 13-03-2021 in the community but was cancelled by NEKEDE FEDERATED UNION NFU, which serves as the parent body in the area earlier before the date of election.

The contestants are good citizens and obedient to the government’ s rules, laws and order and this they have expressed so far.
In the contrary, some disgruntled elements in the area insisted to go all out for the election but regrettedly trauncated the process and gathered for a mere drinking section and village meriments.
It expected of the government’ approved PRESIDENT GENERAL to address his constituents and take charge of leadership following government’s directives.
It was a gathered that UCHE NWANERI is the authenticated and approved Government president general in Umuoma Autonomous community.
This also affected the 27 local government areas in Imo state. In Ngor Okpala, Okigwe, and Orlu areas our reporters gathered that there was compliance by community leaders whose interest is to bring on board Government presence to develop their areas through the collaborative efforts of the president generals.
On this therefore, Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community is in line with the Government directive to allow the appointed PRESIDENT GENERALs lead their respective Communities to restore peace and order.
