Imo State Governor, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma has reassured Rescue Government resolve to continue to drive robust support to critical sectors, ensuring inclusive growth and economic resilience in the state.
Governor Uzodinma stated this at the ongoing 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), in Sevilla, Spain.
Speaking at the conference, the Imo Governor hinted that the financing gap in Africa remains a critical issue with far-reaching implications for the continent’s development.
He added that this challenge continues to hinder the ability of governments to fully unlock their economic potential.
However, despite the immense pressure that global economic situations have placed on public budgets, in Imo State, government is seriously confronting this challenge head-on by championing what can best be described as “africapitalism”.

9News Nigeria reports that, Uzodinma made this known while speaking during a panel session at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), in Sevilla, Spain Thursday.
The Governor emphasized that homegrown solutions are the most sustainable pathway to bridging funding gaps.
He added that the adaptation of africapitalism has catalyzed a wave of entrepreneurship across key sectors, stating that the state is witnessing a surge of locally-driven businesses in agriculture, digital enterprises, renewable energy, fashion and creative industries, and manufacturing.
Imo State will continue to drive robust support to these sectors, ensuring inclusive growth and economic resilience, Governor Uzodinma assured.
