Uzodinma Receives Police AIG, Calls For More Security Coverage Across Imo Rural Communities

Few moments ago, Governor Uzodinma received the New Police AIG EWORO ECHENG while calling on his men to apply more intelligence coverage across Imo rural Communities,9News Nigeria reports.

The Imo State Governor, however called for more security coverage in the rural areas of the State following the state of insecurity in the land.

While receiving the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Echeng Eworo Echeng, Governor Uzodinma disclosed that it is necessary to thoroughly arrest the security situation at the local level.

Uzodinma pleaded with the Nigerian Police and other sister agencies to work in synergy to fish out and dismantle hideouts of criminal elements in the rural areas.

Speaking earlier, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, zone 9 Echeng Eworo Echeng, revealed that irrespective of the security situation in the southeast, the peculiarity in Imo is that it’s politically contrived.

He commended the Governor for his support and for leading the fight against insurgency in the region while assuring a more combatant intelligence through massive collaboration of the Government and the communities, the war against insurgency and crime will be won.

The visit was indeed a great moment to discuss ailing security issues in the state while proffering possible solutions to checkmate crime across the state, 9News Nigeria reports.
