Nigerian striker Victor James Osimhen has made history as the first-ever Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive games in major European completions, surpassing Buraz Yilmaz’s long-standing record.
The former Napoli forward, first-half brace, on Wednesday with Yunus Akgun scoring the Lions’ other goal, while Andreas Helmersen scored a consolation for Bodo/ Glimt.
Victor Osimhen, 26, delivered a master class as Galatasaray eased past Bodo/Glimt with a 3-1 win, extending their superb run in all competitions.

The Nigerian striker opened the scoring just three minutes in, capitalizing on early defensive chaos before terrorising the visitors’ backline with his restless pressing and movement Osimhen struck again in 33 minute, pushing poor back pass for opponent Fredrik Andre Bjorkan.
After the break Osimhen once again proved decisive, dispossessing Hitam Aleesami to set up Yunus Akgun for Galatasaray two goals.
The result gave Galatasaray their 21st win in 23 matches, while ending Bodo/Glomt’s five-game unbeaten European run.
For Osimhen, It was another reminder that when he’s in full flow, few defenders in Europe can stop him.
