Few days after the resounding victory recorded by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma on the just concluded 2023 Imo Guber Election, Leaders of Owerri Zone gathered in unity to pay courtesy visit to the Governor.
9News Nigeria reports that the leaders drawn from the ten Local Government Areas LGAs in Owerri zone visited Governor Uzodinma and congratulated him on his re-election while describing Imo election as violence free and credible.
The Governor felt very happy by their visit and thanked them for the efforts put in place to support his re-election bid and voted for the All Progressives Congress during the election.
Speaking at the congratulatory visit, the Majority Leader of Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), Rt Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi, described the November 11th election as “free, fair and credible,” saying that Ndi Owerri zone are proud of the Governor and those who worked with him during the election to ensure that he was victorious at the polls.
Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi x-rayed the Governor’s achievements in his first tenure, stressing that it is not easy to contend with a man like Hope Uzodinma who has numerous achievements on the ground ranging from youth development schemes, solid infrastructural progress, civil service enhancements, and bipartisan generosity and so on.
Despite earlier concerns, the election is deemed the most peaceful in Imo State’s history while the governor promised to make Imo better than as it used to be.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma appreciated their visit while stating that it was a visit of unity in purpose.
Uzodinma further reinstated his continued support to Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi and the Leaders of Owerri Zone and in extension vowed to uphold the confidence reposed on him to hand down power to Owerri zone.
The visit was aptly conducted to celebrate the entrance of Governor Uzodinma’s second term in office inline with the call for the Charter of Equity as embedded.
