Delta State Lawmaker, representing the Delta North in the Senate House, Sen Ned Nwoko who sponsored a bill recently in the upper chamber, seeking for the creation of another state in the Southeast part of Nigeria.
Senator Ned urges the Senate House and the House of Representatives to balance the Southeast states with the creation of Anioma State to make a historical balancing.
The proposed New State by the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ned Nwoko is to be made up of 9 Local government areas, which are part of the 25 local governments we have in Delta State.
It was revealed that this proposal surfaced just a few days after a bill to create an additional state in the Southeast, which is named as Orlu State passed the second reading in the House of Representatives, which was sponsored by Rt Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere.
