The English Premier League is back for the 2018/2019 football season! This weekend, all over England, shouts of goals shall fill the air as we’ll be entertained with some entertaining football in arguably the best and most watched football league in the world.

Teams like the Gunners of Arsenal, Red devils of Manchester United, the Blues of Chelsea, Merseyside Reds of Liverpool, and of course, the Citizens of Manchester, who are the defending champions, will grace our eyes with some of the best footballing spectacles one can think of. Indeed, we can’t wait. It’s going to be smoking hot!

Throughout the holiday after the end of last season, many teams went into the market in search of players to fortify their teams in preparation for the new season. Arsenal, with their new coach Unai Emery, brought in five additions to team in the likes of Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus, Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Dortmund, Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, amongst others. Defending champions, Manchester City were able to acquire the services of Riyad Mahrez from Leicester, Claudio Gomes from PSG and two other players to strengthen their squad.

Elsewhere, Liverpool got Fabinho from Monaco, Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City, Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. Manchester United got the signature of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, Diogo Dalot from Porto, and Lee Grant from Stoke City. Chelsea secured the services of Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid, Jorginho from Napoli, and Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao.

In the first fixture of the season, Manchester United will take on Leicester City at Old Trafford on Friday, 10th August, while on Saturday, Newcastle will welcome Tottenham to St. James’ park, Huddersfield will host Chelsea at the John Smith’s stadium, and new comers, Fulham will lock horns with Crystal Palace at the Craven Cottage, London.

On Sunday, it’ll be the big one as Arsenal will fight for glory against the defending champions, Manchester City at the Emirates stadium, while Liverpool will entertain West Ham at Anfield. It sure promises to be a weekend packed with excitement for football fans all over the world.
