President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for his commitment to infrastructure development and urban renewal in Abuja.
The President gave the commendation on Tuesday during the official inauguration of the newly rehabilitated International Conference Centre (ICC), located in the heart of Nigeria’s capital city.
In a moment of open praise and encouragement, President Tinubu said:
“Don’t pay attention to busybodies and bystanders; whatever they say, continue with your good work. You are a transformational leader.”
The remark drew applause from guests and dignitaries present at the event, underscoring the administration’s support for Wike’s performance in office so far.
The rehabilitation of the ICC is part of ongoing efforts by the FCT Administration to restore key infrastructure and public assets across Abuja.
The iconic venue, which has hosted numerous high-profile national and international events, has now been upgraded to meet modern standards.
President Tinubu emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in transforming the capital city and urged continued collaboration across all levels of government.
Wike, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the President for the support and reaffirmed his dedication to delivering quality service and visible progress in the FCT.
