It is unfortunate that since Tuesday night a Bolt driver was kidnapped alongside his female passenger , the Police Public Relations Officer , Irene Igbo told Newsmen that she has not been briefed till the time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria.
The incident happened at the destination of the Bolt driver located at the Staff Quarters of the University of Calabar, UNICAL Cross River State on Tuesday.
Eye witnesses told our correspondent that unknown person alleged to be kidnappers swiftly whisked the two victims away and abandoned the Bolt driver’s car.
The driver identified as Jeremiah Enya , was said to be with three passengers when the incident occured.
“People though that the persons the Bolt driver was with are his friends until a little while in discussion whisked the driver and the female away.
It was as if a planned deal to whisk the babe away together with the driver of the bolt, eye witness told Newsmen.
While the Bolt driver was abducted with his female passenger, the other two person found in the car that now made them four were a make and a female passenger.
Information reveals that the staff of University of Calabar UNICAL have become target for kidnappers in Calabar in many record times.
The University director of Servicom, Prof Patrick Egaga ,was only a fourth night ago abducted at his residence in the University staff quarters in Calabar Cross Rivers state.
Meanwhile, his abductors initially negotiated N50m naira but later reduced it to N15m naira, a demand yet to be met by his family.
Inspite of efforts of government to check criminal activities, abductors are cashing out at various states to the detriment of the affected families.
The missing driver works with an e-hailing company, Bolt, resident in Cross River State Nigeria but was kidnapped at his destination point together with a female passenger in the car.
