Youth Association Supports 25 Children In Maiduguri, Attracts Other Interventions

The Lamusawa Youth Development Association, a community group in Maiduguri has provided free circumcision to 25 male children in the city.

The exercise was held at Lamusawa Pharmacy with beneficiaries drawn from four different communities of Fezzan, Bulabulin, Hausari, and Shehuri.

At the event, the Vice Chairman, Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Baba Shehu Abdul-Ghani, thanked the association and encouraged others to contribute to such community services.

Alhaji Mohammed Dawule, a philanthropist and staff of Borno State Pilgrim Board, also donated ₦5,000 each to the beneficiaries.

Also, Alhaji Saliu Murtala offered to pay for the childrens’ education.

The event also had support from other groups in the state.

Similarly, representatives from Yobe State at the event promised to provide clothes and financial support to the children.

In his remarks, the chairman, Lamusawa Youth Development Association, Abba Ibrahim Abba Tijjani, thanked everyone for their support, noting that the main aim of the program is to support low-income families in the communities.
