President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The exercise held on Saturday 23, May 2026, conducted across wards and local government areas through the party’s adopted voting structure, recorded large turnout of party delegates and members, with results overwhelmingly favouring the incumbent President.
According to figures announced from various states, President Tinubu dominated the contest, defeating his challenger, Stanley Osifo, by wide margins across the federation.
In several states where results were declared, the President recorded near-total endorsements, further consolidating his position as the party’s preferred candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In Imo State, Tinubu reportedly polled 582,960 votes against Osifo’s 103 votes, while in Ogun State he secured 322,485 votes with his opponent recording no vote.
Similar outcomes were recorded in Delta State, where the President garnered 407,646 votes, and in Rivers State, where he polled 280,082 votes.
The APC described the exercise as peaceful, orderly, and transparent, noting that the process reflected internal unity and growing confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu.
Political stakeholders, including governors, ministers, lawmakers, and party executives, participated actively in the process, with several leaders describing the outcome as a reaffirmation of support for the President’s reform agenda and leadership direction.
