As the Rivers political crisis deepens with the proclamation of the Rainbow structure by FCT Minister Chief Nyesom Wike, is now shifting ground to form a new alliance with Social Democratic Party (SDP) After fruitless attempt to mislead Mr President to side with him failed wolfly, strong indications emerge that Nyesom Wike is making alternative moves with his so called rainbow structure to Social Democratic Party Should Incase the APC Governorship ticket is given to Gov. Siminialayi Fubara.
This development follows the APC National Committee’s decision to hand over the Rivers APC party structure to Gov. Sim Fubara upon his defection to the APC.
According to reports, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike whom is current out of the country is meeting with the leadership of SDP to finalize all modelity for the swift merger of the his Supporters and SDP, the meeting which was said to be organized by Magnus Abe, the former Social Democratic Party Governorship candidate had in attendance National Chairman and other members of the NWC of SDP.
Sources say this latest move became necessary to enable Wike field house assembly and Governorship candidate in the forthcoming elections in the state to fulfil his long desire to unseat the Governor. After the APC instructed FCT Minister to stay clear of the Party activities in Rivers State.
These last minute U-turn is to save himself and that of his followers the shame of perpetual retirement since all avenue to block the Governor’s takeover of the Party is not yielding any result so far, hence the move to join SDP in order for his men to participate in the elections.
