The governor of Imo state Nigeria, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma has stated that the government is aware of enormous challenges bedevilling the state but predicted that Imo State is hopeful of the best leadership from him.

As part of activities lined up for the commemoration of the 62nd Independence Day Anniversary of our great nation, today, I led Ndi Imo to a Thanksgiving Mass at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Owerri.

This is in appreciation to God Almighty for his grace in sustaining the peace and unity of our country, Nigeria, despite various challenges and shortcomings.

He stated that for the people of Imo State, it has been miraculous that they have surmounted the challenges of the enemy, we remain thankful to God.

Our correspodent reports that in the governor’s addresss after the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, he delivered a message of Hope to the people, a message that appeals to the conciousness of the people to rise above the limitations of complaints and embrace the patriotic spirit in confronting the challenges of our time.

Uzodinma therefore, charged the people to always identify with a leadership that has come to work and support such in all ramification for our collective interest.

“I appealed so because I have come to work for our people. My policies, programs and projects are fashioned to better the lives of Ndi Imo nile and not for a few, as was the case in the past.

“I am fully committed to good governance and the development of our dear State” The 62nd independence day Celebration will hold on the first of October.
