9NEWS NIGERIA a new media organisation visioned as Nigeria’s favourite news source has on Monday, 28th September 2020 established its Bureau in Anambra State.
Speaking during the occasion, in Awka, the state capital, the editor in chief of 9NEWS NIGERIA, Mr. Obinna Ejianya, charged the reporters to always hold the leaders accountable and report facts without compromise.
Mr Ejianya noted that 9News Nigeria as an online media that provides undiluted news and information with clarity and transparency, anytime, anywhere has the responsibility to hold the leaders in checks and accountable to enhance good governance.
He further revealed that the organisation has remained politically neutral and has never been bankrolled by any political interest group, and such stance makes it possible for all the correspondents to report facts without minding whose ox is gored.
He urged the new reporters and correspondents not to put material gains as priority in the course of executing their journalistic duties but rather be passionate and dilligent while carrying out their duties which will make them stand out in the organisation.
On their own part, the new reporters, Promisel Okongwu, Mary Ann, Igwe Ogbonna and Pascal Nwankwo promised to do their best by covering the State, bringing what is going on in the state to limelight and equally reporting facts and holding the leaders accountable.
One of the 9NEWS NIGERIA editors, Mr. Wisdom Nwedene who equally attended the event from Ebonyi/ Enugu Bureau admonished the new reporters to always carry out proper investigation before publishing their stories.
He charged them to always give a balanced reportage and maintain the journalistic etiquette when making a story.
Others in attendance during the event include, Mrs Blessing Oby Ejianya, a communicator, founder of “Unusual Dimensions Events” and wife of the Editor in Chief of 9NEWS NIGERIA and another 9news Nigeria editor Emmanuel Atseyinku from 9News Nigeria South South Bureau in Port Harcourt.
