The Management and Staff of one of the foremost trending online media News outlet, 9News Nigeria has met to deliberate succinctly on the possible ways to improve and upgrade their News coverage and reportage to make their readers all over the world happy with latest invention on quality reportage and breaking stories.
The meeting was scheduled by the National Director of Programs to address ailing challenges bedevilling the organization. It was an avenue to discuss possible ways for more improvements.
Though it was an online meeting, it was a refreshing moment for the media practitioners from various respective locations to chat once again with fellow colleagues and express their feelings and pleasantries as a formidable News Team.
The meeting further gave an ample time for the practitioners to present their regional reports, work evaluations, immediate needs and vision boards. It was a sparkling time to air their views and introduce ideas on the recent day programs that will equally benefits 9News Nigeria from across all locations.
Meanwhile the gentlemen of the Press discussed certain experiences gathered while discharging their professional duties in certain locations across the countries.
To the Journalists, solutions to their challenges and better ways to management of risk in the process of discharging official functions was most paramount in the discussion.
In furtherance, the Publisher of 9News Nigeria, Mr Obinna Ejianya maintained that his team is made up of professional editors, reporters, program managers, quality marketers and workerholic correspondents.
The 9News Nigeria team is made up of people of sound mind embedded in truthfulness, godliness, impartiality, professional practice and unbias.

The Review captured the following:
- Emmalex, South Bureau Chief spoke on need to have an Office Space in every state. The need to establish offices across the states of operation is most paramount.
- From South East: Comrade Princely Onyenwe hinted that Imo State is doing well. Abia and Enugu are doing good in their reportage too. That is to say that the South East region is well covered and reports are well captured.
He added that his team have established contacts with grassroots reporters while public events, government activities, adverts and interview sessions are constantly captured in my reportage, said Princely Onyenwe.
Challenges: The Imo/Abia Chief pointed outk that all roving Journalists need insurance and free medical care to be established by the organization, chapel and chapters. He therefore charged the NUJ National to as a matter of importance, request for the welfare of Journalists, media officers and broadcasters.
Onyenwe added that if possible, since 9News Nigeria Team keeps growing, that customized vehicles will be seriously needed, hence, it is another better way of advertising the organization and rushing to the scene of incident or action.
Equipments, devices like good cameras, laptops, good phones and working kits are very important together with a first aid kit for practitoners and publishers.
Establishing of state office is very vital for easy accessibility and fast response at any scene of event to get first hand reports.
However, enrollment of practitioners to attend master training @home and abroad is important. This will make 9News Nigeria team more formidable and advanced above all odds.
Onyenwe also spoke on the yearly live national meeting which according to him have not been followed up, has to be maintained, just as the team has indicated.
Stipends for data should be reviewed upward and become regular and possibly the purchase of WiFi for editors should not be taken for granted. The work itself is data consuming, time taken and technical.
“Most importantly, let us be our brothers keeper and keep helping out when member beckon on any Editor for assistance via publishing. I have been doing such for our members who are finding it difficult to publish from various regions and state with verifiable stories.
Onyenwe prayed for the upgrade and expansion of 9News Nigeria family and the their respective families to be replenished of all their efforts and good hearts.
- In Ebonyi State and Enugu State which Wisdom Nwadume is covering. He has been able to update our readers and keep them abreast about what is going on in the two states.
“In fact, I do develop report and articles from time to time about the situation on ground.
The only challenge I am facing is that my phone has packed up because I now depend on it. Reason being that the laptop Boss gave to me last time has developed serious problems and couldn’t fix it.
However, I have discussed with Boss and he assured me that a new device will be given to me which I am hoping on. The same case is applicable to some editors who is placing the challenge of packed up spaces in their phones.
Also, our reports from Ebonyi State and Enugu State have been topping our traffic recently which can be confirmed by others.
- A’Ibom was down for sometimes because I put reportage on hold and was very active in the installation of Peter Obi as president of Nigeria
I was a member of Presidential Central Committee for Peter Obi in Akwa Ibom State then but presently, I have fully resumed my office in 9news and I promise to do much better than before.
- Famojuro Ayomide Samuel from Lagos, (South West ) who was Just appointed as the new manager for marketing and publicity department @ 9news Nigeria limited noted that upon resumption into his new managerial role , he has been tirelessly working with our amiable Publisher on how to surge our marketing Dexterity to the apex level.
It has always been our great privilege to serve and establish our trademark in the marketing world towards this great Empire (9news Nigeria).
We are putting measures into place to be one of the best in Nigeria online News report irrespective of the marketing echelon.
- From Anambra!
On our achievements, we were able to identify in with different programs in Anambra state. We were able to assign report category areas to different reporters in Anambra state under my control.
We organized a meeting that will streamline our work to not just news report, but majorly on building a very impactful content that looks like a News story discovery, but something that will have a significant impact on ndi Anambra eg. Documentary that will cover infrastructure, security, lifestyle, business.
Challenges:
It was really not an easy one for us because of mobility, gadgets, and materials because it requires traveling around Anambra State.
Members thanked the publisher of 9News Nigeria for giving the team the needed opportunity to establish their feat in the organization and also brought the avenue to interact with both the Nigerian and Diaspora Team Mates.
In conclusion therefore, it was resolved that Abuja Nigeria will host the 2023 National Media Conference of the 9News Nigeria later this year at a date to be communicated.
The National media converge is an annual conference that unites and bring together 9News Nigeria team from all over the world to evaluate their challenges and efforts while criticizing the weak points and discussing possible ways to improve their reportage to gain more traffic.
The Year 2023 conference is targetted at having live interactions with the powers that be, visiting less privileged homes and engaging some National and International Cooperate agencies situated in the Federal Capital territory Abuja while proffering possible solutions to the government to give the masses the desirable governance desired by all Nigerians. The upcoming event will be a top notch to media practice in Nigeria.
The meeting showed full attendance of membership and recorded successful deliberations while calling on NUJ to close the gap between online media and print media practitioners.
