As the people of Anambra prepare for the November 6th gubernatorial elections in the State,Student’s Leaders under the auspices of COUNCIL OF STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT PRESIDENTS AND AFAIGBO EFULA STUDENTS LEADERS have gathered at the De ALICE EVENT CENTRE Awka on 20/3/2021 to add their voices on who replaces Governor Willie Obiano at the AGU AWKA.The Students leaders who were drawn from all the Institutions in the State,reinstated their support for the actualisation of the gubernatorial ambitions of a Youthful Driven Government under Sen.Dr.IFEANYI UBAH,to cause a generational change in governance and bring about Quality Education and Employment, especially as the Students Community made of Youths contribute to 51.11% of the total valid votes cast in every election.
The Coverner of the group and CEO FROSH FELA FOUNDATION. Mr. Maduekwe Anthony welcomed comrades by stating the works done so far towards ensuring the Victorious outing of their Gubernatorial Candidate and YPP flag bearer Dr.IFEANYI UBAH.
“We welcome you to this great gathering comrade, we all know our primary aims and how important we contributed towards the success of the last senatorial election of our indefatigable senator representing Anambra South by prompt campaigns across the seven LGA’s of the zone. We have gathered again to strengthen our base spread to the whole LGA’s of the State. We have held several seminars amongst others to always keep Students abreast with political and end environment happenings in the campuses, such as Need To Avoid Hard Drugs and Cultism held in 2019 and current sensitization against COVID 19 and Voter Registration Awareness Campaigns across the institutions in the State”.
Responding on behalf of the Council of Students Union Government Presidents, the chairman of the council and SUG President Anambra State Polytechnic Mgbakwu Comr. Innocent Ikegbunem expressed the support of the council and entire Students of Anambra towards the election of Sen.Dr.IFEANYI UBAH” We’re happy on the recent World Class Hospital built by IFEANYI UBAH and handed over to the authorities of Nnamdi Azikiwe University where 90% of people there are students, students are on various scholarships today in Anambra courtesy of IFEANYI UBAH.
We have already started works at the campuses, although that, students are still faced with myriads of problems today, we will carefully outline them as we meet with the Best man for the job soon”.
Also speaking the secretary of the council and SUG PRESIDENT Metallurgical Institute Onitsha Comr. Okoro Precious Chigozie said that students will vote for IFEANYI UBAH in the forthcoming elections in the state and stated few challenges affecting students of Metallurgical Institute Onitsha.
Other highlights of the gathering were chanting of ALUTA SONGS and some campaign slogans of Sen.Dr.IFEANYI UBAH, sharing of campaign handbills put together by FROSH FELA FOUNDATION in partnership with AFAIGBO EFUNA STUDENTS AND COUNCIL OF SUG PRESIDENTS,light refreshments etc.
The Senator was represented at the gathering by the AFAIGBO EFUNA Anambra State Coordinator Hon.Mbazuluike lloka and SUG PRESIDENTS OF Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Comr.Arinzechukwu Gideon, Oduah Paul Ifeanyi Paul University Awka, Chibuike Ifeanyi .E. Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Asiegbu Kingsley Federal Polytechnic OKO, Onuchukwu Ebuka Senate President COOU, Ezeokwelume Onyinye Senate member UNIZIK, coordinators of AFAIGBO EFUNA STUDENTS in the state.
